this is a throwback to the TV series where the scale was always f'ed up. Pidgeot is supposed to be around 5 feet tall as far as i know, and it was always either much smaller or bigger in the series.

i never understood how both Marahute and Pidgeot (atleast in this and the tv series) got so big.

Marahute was pretty huge for a golden eagle, or any eagle. My guess is that they had made up their own type of fictional super-eagle for that movie... and somehow nobody realized that there was already a species called golden eagles? Who knows. Another thing that was weird in that movie was that Cody (I think that's his name?) could talk to all the other animals, but not Marahute? Though I suppose that did make her more primal and mysterious.

As for the pokemon... as far as I remember, the TV series was/is full of weird inconsistencies like that...

well, i never heard of RDU until i watched an episode of the nostalgia critic.

when i saw Marahute, i was speechless for like 5 minutes.
i was like "wow, there's a huge bird in that movie, and there's someone on it's back. obviously it's big enough to carry the person, which is awesome."

now that's what i love to see.
every time someone makes a giant bird, they always F it up. i wanna see more giant birds that look like normal birds, except for their size.


i love giant birds. i love the idea of riding a giant bird.
